Our Approach

Rather than focus solely on the client’s addictive behavior, our counseling program is designed to promote healing of the whole person; therefore exploring and healing other aspects of life that may have been sacrificed during addiction.

Creating and following a daily or weekly schedule is often an important part of the recovery process for people suffering from substance use disorders. Many people who are addicted to drugs or alcohol often struggle to manage their time effectively; addiction takes over every area of a person’s life, making it difficult to follow a schedule.

Valley View Recovery Center incorporates a structured daily schedule into the treatment process. Scheduling time helps to minimize triggers for relapse. A detailed layout of a weekly schedule is below.

Weekly schedule with time slots from 6:30am to 11pm, listing activities such as breakfast, gym groups, small groups, lunch, community meetings, dinners, optional activities, and reflection sessions, organized by days of the week.

Our additional services

  • Involving the client’s family and support system throughout treatment is critical to building a foundation for success after discharge. We offer a dedicated 4-hour family workshop on a monthly basis, in addition to offering opportunities for clients to connect with their children during the treatment process.

Clients will be able to visit with their children in a designated location on campus for family reunification, and will have the option to video-chat with family members unable to visit in person.

Along with coordinated visits with family members, Valley View Recovery Center offers a 4-hour family workshop designed for family members aged 16 and above. Offered once per month, this class will involve education for family members to understand substance use, codependency and family dynamics throughout the recovery process to create a safe environment for family members and clients to aid in the process of lifelong recovery.

  • Our Valley View Recovery Center alumni support group meets every 1st Saturday of the Month from 1pm-2pm. This is a place where previous clients of Valley View Recovery Center can build and maintain a life in meaningful recovery. Your path to recovery doesn't stop when you leave treatment, it is only the beginning. Recovery from a substance use disorder is ongoing and finding a support system is critical. Stay connected by also supporting and encouraging current VVRC peers.

  • Are you a concerned person? If someone you know is struggling, there are resources available. We are here to help, even if you aren’t looking for our specific program. Maybe you are just looking for someone to talk to — Maybe you are just wanting to hear there is hope — Maybe you need to know who to call or where to go. If so, Valley View Recovery Center can help guide you through whatever process you are experiencing.

A concerned person is anyone who is worried about or affected by another person's use of alcohol or other drugs, whether they are a spouse, significant other, parent, child, employee, or close friend. The Hope Program offers a help session designed to provide education and options to help yourself and the individual you are concerned about. The Hope Program is offered to individuals on an as-needed basis and is free of charge.
